Description

This is an extremely rare one of a kind thick, heavy original '69 red vinyl promo lp with complete script. On the front page of script is: Revision #3 April 17, 1969. Also on first page it says: A Fable for Christmas, the Happy and Wonderful Story of FROSTY THE SNOWMAN written by ROMEO MULLER. Produced and Directed by ARTHUR RANKIN JR. and JULES BASS. On the next page it starts out by saying: Part One (TEASER & TITLES). The script is in great detail, it tells when to fade out, when there is a commercial, if the camera is stationary or moving, for example: Moving shot- camera moves closer to Frosty-Lose children. Camers pans over school yard - kids play in snow. etc, etc. This is a thick script with many pages, it is in a binder with a cardboard front and back cover. On the front cover is a large decal with original artwork and graphics. Both the labels of the lp and front cover of script are promotional. The lp is nicely pressed, On each label in small print is VIDEOCRAFT, INT'L LTD. On top of label it says CBS PRESENTS. On right side of label is WR-4740. This animated musical is told and sung by JIMMY DURANTE. It is a half hour television special. Everything is in very nice condition, pages of script are perfect, covers are slightly browning and have mild wear.The script is attached to a blue cover by means of a plastic spiral. The cover has one seam splitting, NO stains, or ring wear. On the front of script someone wrote their name LEN in blue pen. The lp has near perfect labels with only a hint of browning. Playing surfaces are very glossy with NO groove wear, scratches, defects, warps, cracks, mold, etc. I noticed only a small handful of very light surface scuffs mostly on one side they do not affect play. I listened to excerpts from each side, they sounded crystal clear with NO distortion, and NO loud, continuous, or annoying background noise. A nice find in this CONDITION: COVER & SCRIPT VG+++ / LP VG+++.  I have had this lp on ebay before, both times with an extremely high reserve, today I decided to offer it with NO Reserve. I would like to see this rarity have a good home, I have owned it for a while now, and feel it is time to pass it on to a collector searching for the very rarest lps.  Your satisfaction is guaranteed, bid with confidence.
