Description

This Edison Blue Amberol cylinder record, number 3756, is the only commercial recording of Thomas A. Edison's voice.  Edison recorded this patriotic speech at the close of World War One in honor of the American and Allied troops who fought and sacrificed in the "War to End All Wars."  This copy is the original, shorter version.  A later version, released under the same number, added the Star Spangled Banner after Edison's narration.  This recording is used but plays well.
