Description
Circa 1969 - Creedence Clearwater's Classic LP "Green River".
This album is published on the Liberty label.
The catalogue number is LBS 83273 - Stereo.
Appraisal of the album:
The Outer sleeve:
remains in good condition for its age, there some minor signs of wear to the outer edges and corners consistent with storage over the years but overall, good, the outer covers have a textured feel to them, please see photo's.
The Inner Sleeve:
Is the standard factory supplied white inner.
The Vinyl:
Side One:
Presents with a good glossy sheene, a close visual inspection under bright lighting conditions reveals several very light surface hairline marks - possibly consistent with sleeve insertion removal and one or two light surface scratches (I have tried to capture these on the photos)
More importantly, I have played this side twice and on my audio equipment there is no skipping, sticking or jumping. One can though, hear typical static "cracks " and "pops" inevitably associated with ageing vinyl and hard to see surface marks and scratches as well as those present - more prominent on intros, play-off' s and quitter sections of music. In my view though the audio reproduction on side one is good/very good - this can of course vary from one turntable to another.
Side Two:
Again, presents with a good glossy sheene, a further close visual inspection under bright lighting conditions reveals several very light surface hairline marks and one or two surface scratches/marks that are easily visible notably across tracks one and two and three and four - again I have tried to illustrate these on the photo's.
More importantly, I have played side two twice and pleasingly on my audio equipment there is no skipping, sticking or jumping. One can again though, hear typical static "cracks " and "pops" inevitably associated with ageing vinyl and hard to see surface marks and scratches in addition to those I have detailed - more prominent on intros, play-off' s and quitter sections of music. The presence of the scratches/marks on side two, in my view do not adversely impact upon the audio reproduction which is good - this can of course vary from one turntable to another.
The labels are clean.
