Extreme Rare Bob Dylan LP "John Wesley Harding" 1st Pressing from 1968 / Spain / Discophone - Barcelona, CBS 63252
One of only 250 produced Worldwide !
Read the Story of this 1st Pressing and why it is so rare! :
The first release of the album in 1968 in Spain was manufactured by Discophon of Barcelona on behalf of CBS, and is very rare, as only 250 were produced.
125 were apparently sold by one record shop in Madrid, but the record was banned by the Franco regime.
It was in mono only, but apparently in very bad quality. The rear sleeve has a biography of Bob in Spanish instead of the liner notes. The song titles are given in English and Spanish. The record has orange CBS labels with catalogue numbers 63252 E.1 and 63252 E.2. The song titles are again listed in English and Spanish.
It is nearly impossible to find this 1st Pressing and unknown how many of the 250 produced ( only 125 sold ) do still exist !.

I Found this LP in our Basement where it was lying around for several years. The Vinyl has been played several times it seems and therefore it shows some indications of Usage. But nothing dramatic.

Erfahrt hier etwas über die Geschichte der Platte und wieso sie so selten ist! :
Die erste Auflage dieses Albums aus dem Jahr 1968 in Spanien wurde veröffentlicht durch Discophon – Barcelona im Auftrag von CBS und ist sehr selten, da sie nur 250 mal gepresst wurde.
125 wurden direkt in einem Plattenladen in Madrid verkauft, bevor die LP von dem Franco Regime verboten wurde. Die LP war Mono und in relativ schlechter Tonqualität. Die Rückseite des Covers zeigt eine Biographie von Bob Dylan anstelle der Texte. Die Lieder werden in englisch und spanisch aufgelistet. Die Platte selber hat orange-farbene „Labels“ mit den Katalog Nummern: 63252 E.1 und 63252 E.2. Die Lieder sind auch dort in endlisch und spanisch aufgeführt.
Es ist nahezu unmöglich diese Erstpressung sonst wo zu finden und unbekannt wie viele von den nur 250 gepressten ( und nur 125 verkauften ) heute noch existieren!.

Die Platte lagerte über einige Jahre bei uns im Keller wodurch das Cover etwas gelitten hat. Die Platte selbst wurde damals offenbar einige Male gespielt und weist dementsprechende Gebrauchsspuren auf. Aber nichts dramatisches.
Nutzt diese Chance, Besitzer einer der seltensten Bob Dylan Platten auf Vinyl zu werden.
