Description
In 1975 I was a music director for a major Billboard reporting radio station in the Southeast. I received from Columbia records one of a few test pressings of the LP “Born To Run”. This LP has been in my possession and stored since this time. It was never played except when initially received one time. That is the only time it was played. This is an authentic 1st pressing “TEST PRESSING”.
There is a different font used on the LP cover art and this is the only text on the entire album.(see photos) The LP cover is a gatefold in excellent condition except for some slight discoloration in the upper corner where there is an erasure of a felt tip pen. There are no split seams or cracks. Please refer to the photos.
The record vinyl itself is in excellent condition. Most of the album is unplayed. No scratches, marks or spindle marks.
DEADWAX INFO: Side one: P AL-33795 -1A and Side two: P BL-33795 -1A. This is a true first pressing from Columbia which I have had in my possession since receiving it from Columbia records in 1975. This LP was pressed at the pressing plant in Pitman. New Jersey.
There is a one sheet zerox copy (the copy that was originally sent and copied at the time by Columbia Records dated 8/13/75 entitled “Album Cover Copy and Mastering” Catalog numbers, Publisher info and Mastering Plant info. See photos.
There is also an 8 page insert (Xeroxed sheets with staple) , each one with the lyrics and copyright info for each of the 8 songs on this LP. See photos.
A similar LP was sold on ebay for $4,682.00 .
