If you found this auction then you probably know that this Vogue picture record vinyl disc, titled “A Trip To Slumberland” (Parts 1 & 2), is an extremely rare prototype... one of the "Holy Grail's" of picture record collecting.  It’s claimed that only 10-12 were ever made, with 5 or 6 still known to exist. These truly rare records virtually never change hands, and this could be the only time you’ll ever see one listed, so we wouldn’t “slumber” on this one if we were you! If you're one to follow the sale of these rarities on EBay you'll know that 2 have sold in the past... both for thousands of dollars each and neither in as good of condition as this record which just might be the finest example in existence.   If you are a serious bidder and want more info on the two previous auctions we mentioned, contact us and we'll provide you with all the info we have. We're so confident in the desirability of this record that we're offering it starting at $9.99 with NO RESERVE but this record likely won't sell cheap.  With rarity like this however, we believe it will always remain a wise investment for the advanced collector.

The overall condition of the record is very good- 12” of “nearly-flawless”. There are a couple of really slight scuffs and marks but the piece was likely virtually never played- we know for a fact that it was only played one time in the last decade. That one time was when we played it ourselves with a brand new needle to test playability, and it plays almost perfectly. There’s a small white spot (the size of the head of a pin or so) right on the horse rider’s ear, and when the needle runs over it there is a slight, short click, but otherwise it’s a clean run.

DUE TO THE HIGH VALUE OF THIS RECORD, WE WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO ESTIMATE THE COST FOR SHIPPING INSURANCE.  INSTEAD WE WILL DETERMINE THAT EXACT SHIPPING COST WHEN THE AUCTION ENDS AND INVOICE YOU SEPARATELY FOR IT.  SHIPPING COST INCLUDES THE COST FOR DOUBLE BOXING WHICH WE ASSUME YOU WILL WANT.
