Description

This is the rare set of two separate original LPs by Ran Blake “Take One” and “Take Two” on Golden Crest CRS 4176 and 4177. The playing surface of “Take One” is mint, while “Take Two” is in near-new condition. Both records have a high luster; probably played once. The covers are still in the original shrink wrap and are in superb condition – bright and clean throughout. The material was recorded in l977 but is an obscure entry in Ran Blake’s discography. He plays the same eleven pieces - including four originals - on each record, but they are different takes. This unique experiment presents Blake’s contrasting approaches to the material. This is a solo piano recording.
