PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION!!! I TRIED TO BE AS DETAILED AND ACCURATE AS I COULD, AS I KNOW THAT THIS COULD BE A CONSIDERABLE PURCHASE.

Up for consideration is the rare, very limited edition Ryan Adams Box Set, "Live After Deaf," which was released through the Ryan Adams website in the summer of 2012. The original release date was pushed back a day after the website crashed on the first day. I was fortunate enough to land a copy on Saturday - the postponed date of the sale. The starting price of the auction is the original price of the set - $130.

I do not use "Mint Condition" to describe anything that has been played. This item is probably "Near Mint." But just to protect myself, I am officially grading this item as Excellent.

Only 5 of the 12 records have been played (Discs 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7), on an AT-LP 120, with the stock cartridge. The vinyl in the box is arranged numerically by the order of vinyl that has not been played yet (so, open the box, and Disc 5 is in front, which would have been the next disc I listened to... followed by 6, 8, 9 and so on). This is my own silly process with a box set so I don't lose track of which records I still have to spin. (I just did it with the Beatles Mono set) - but this level of detail allows you to consider this item with information about which records had contact with a stylus.

I am selling this item because, while I am a Ryan Adams fan, I am not as big of a fan as a SUPER fan, who I know would really enjoy this set. It is a fantastic set - but a bit too much just for me.

The set is in the same condition as it was when it arrived - and there were a few minor things that were noticeable to me when I unboxed it from the manufacturer - perhaps not noticeable to most - but in the spirit of being transparent with the auction:

• The outer box rear artwork, which is a piece of shiny-coated paper that was very cheaply glued on, has been removed from the outer box. It fell off on its own - so there was no "Butcher Block"-style peeling of the artwork. It left no glue marks on either the outer box, or on the back of the artwork. I have kept it inside of the box, with the records, in between Discs 15 and 1. The upper right corner has a soft bend - not a hard bend or crease, but more of a defined curl. All of the corners are sharp and undamaged. The front artwork is still affixed to the outer box, and is in perfect shape.
  
• There was some minor, softening of the corners of the outer box, particularly on the bottom, due to the natural weight of this item (9.5 pounds). The set arrived this way. Again, very minor, and you cannot even see it in the photos; but these are things I noticed and want to be 100% transparent.

No damage or degradation has occurred in the time that I have owned this set. I have about 1,000+ pieces of vinyl, all stored upright on IKEA shelving, in outer plastic sleeves. This set sat at the end of my other Ryan Adams discs, just after "Ashes & Fire." Unfortunately, I could not put an outer sleeve around this box set, but the records stored on either side both had outer plastic sleeves.

This item does not include the download card. (Very surprisingly, I am unable to find the card, even though I save every download card and shrink wrap sticker that comes with my vinyl.) Should I ever locate the card (I know it has to be around here somewhere!), I will be happy to mail it to you at no charge. The download card was redeemed.

This item comes from a climate-controlled, non-smoking home.
