RUSH Self-Titled debut lp MOON-MERCURY MN-100 Rare M-
1974/Canada/Mercury Records SRM 1-1011….. here’s a clean original Canadian Mercury pressing with the Moon Matrix numbers. This is darn near as rare as the Moon release itself and sounds the same as it was cut from the same source. The cover is in solid VG++ condition with very light shelf wear, there is some very small writing on the top of the H, there is also a small white blemish on the U that appears to have been printed like this, otherwise the cover is solid and clean with no splits or delete. The vinyl is in clean glossy Excellent to M- condition with a handful of super light inaudible sleeve lines from removal. The record plays excellent with a bit of very light minor background at cue and some tracks. Has a big hot mix sound. If you collect Rush lp's you will want this in your collection! The record's popularity in Cleveland quickly led to the re-release of the album by Mercury Records. The first Canadian Mercury release on the standard red Mercury label is nearly as rare as the Moon version. It also had the Moon number 'MN-100' between the run-out groves, indicating that it was pressed from the same metal parts as the Moon disc.

MINT: as stated with no defects
NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean
EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much
VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition.
