Description
Up for auction is a nice original copy of the Rufus Thomas album "Walking The Dog" originally released in the U.S. on Stax Records (704) in 1963.
-Guaranteed original first pressing -Original MONO recording -Heavy inflexible vinyl -Correct light blue labels
Condition: The cover is still in nice condition with light to moderate signs of age. Front still retains its bright colors and the white looks generally clean with minor rubbing, but no ring wear. Seams are intact with some moderate crazing but no splits. Corners are good but show rubbing, one with a small bump. Back is clean, no writing, no ring wear but hows some light rubbing and a little age. Overall, still a very attractive cover, very presentable and collectible. Grade the cover Very Good Plus (VG+).
The vinyl is also in nice shape, still retains much of its original shine. Both sides show several very light, superficial hairlines, but nothing deep or serious that affects the overall quality of the playback. Labels are clean, no spindle trails. From my personal collection, this record has been play-tested and the sound quality is very good, especially in recommended Mono mode which provides nice clear sound quality--not audiophile clean, but still one of the better originals that you'll find. Grade the vinyl Very Good Plus (VG+).
