ROYAL FLAIRS PSYCH GARAGE ROCK "SUICIDE/ ONE PINE BOX" MARINA ORIGINAL 45 1965
This is a very rare original recording released in 1965 by MARINA records. The matrix numbers in the dead wax are: 6598-01A for "Suicide", and SS 6598-01B for "One Pine Box". THIS MAY BE THE MOST HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER GARAGE ROCK RECORD! It rarely appears and has been in my collection since the 1980's when I discovered it in Iowa.
Originally from Council Bluffs, Iowa, the Royal Flairs started out as the house band at the Milrose Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois. In 1965 they released this psych garage rock monster, "Suicide" b/w "One Pine Box". "Suicide" is a psychedelic garage rock track with a great solo about a lost love. "One Pine Box" is a surf rock instrumental featuring the unusual sounds of scraping and nailing a coffin shut. "Ouch!" DON'T MISS THIS RARE ONE IF YOUR A PSYCH GARAGE ROCK COLLECTOR.
