ROY PORTER
 SOUND MACHINE

"JESSICA"

Label: CHELAN 2501
Released: 1974
Condition: Cover: EX // Record: EX+

Cover has strong graphics with no visible wear.  Cover is still in shrink wrap.  The shrink wrap is torn along the spine but the spine is not damaged.

Record has brilliant vinyl with no scratches or scrapes.  This would be a NM disc except for a couple of very light paper marks and a very slight wave in the vinyl.  Neither of these in any way affects the playback.  The record plays perfectly clean without clicks, ticks or pops.
.
Both labels are clean.

This is one of those rare discs that sounds great no matter where the tone arm lands!  Every cut is loaded with breaks and beats and funky drums.  The genius of 'Drums for Daryl' (moto-cross fx mixed with drums) is ridiculously cool!  The lead cut, 'Jessica', a progressive jazz workout, runs for seven minutes plus and ends too soon!  A truly classic LP that will totally funk-up your world!

Personnel: Roy Porter-Drums;  Jimmy Holloway, Leslie Hargrove-Guitar;  Tollie Moore-Electric Piano; Bob Davis-Organ;  Charles Jones-Fender Bass;  Oscar Dye-Congas;  Hense Powell, James Smith-Trumpet, Flugelhorn;  Lester Robertson-Trombone;  Jack H. Fulks-Tenor Sax, Flute;  Sone' Campbell-Tenor Sax.
