About This Item
Their Satanic Majesties Request is the sixth UK studio album by The Rolling Stones, released by Decca in December 1967. Recorded through 1967, it is the band's most overtly psychedelic work, built around experimental studio production, unconventional instrumentation, string arrangements and layered sound effects. The album is renowned for its elaborate gatefold sleeve with a 3D lenticular cover photograph by Michael Cooper. This is the UK original mono edition (Decca TXL 103), carrying a dedicated mono mix distinct from the stereo fold-down found on later copies.Grading & Condition
We grade all records according to the international Discogs standard. The Media (vinyl) and Sleeve (cover) are always graded separately and listed individually.
Code Grade Description M Mint Absolutely perfect in every way. No marks or signs of wear. Generally reserved for sealed or unplayed items only. NM (M-) Near Mint Nearly perfect. No obvious signs of wear and no surface noise on play. Our highest grade for pre-owned records. VG+ Very Good Plus Shows minor signs of careful handling. Light marks possible, but with little to no effect on playback. VG Very Good Noticeable surface noise and light scratches may be present, but they do not overpower the music. G+ Good Plus Considerable signs of use. Surface noise and scratches are clearly audible, but the record plays through. G Good Heavily worn overall. Significant surface noise and many marks, but still playable. F Fair Plays through but with serious sound-quality issues. Skipping is possible. Value is mainly as a placeholder. P Poor Difficult or impossible to play. Cracks, warps, or severe damage present.Order of condition: M > NM > VG+ > VG > G+ > G > F > P | The grade "M" is applied to sealed items only.
