This is where things got decidedly interesting in music!
With Sgt Pepper famously breaking new ground from The Beatles, and the drug influence seeping across the music scene like multi-colours of ink on blotting paper - things were changing drastically. Imaginations fueled and set alight by what was going on in this wild new time - and the 'leaders' of this revolution were excited enough to make bolder and braver steps forward. Newly discovered instruments were employed too - with the Melotron, and the Eastern influence of the Sitar in to the mix.
The ROLLING STONES were not inhibited to rise to the challenge, and this amazing album attests to this historic time. THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST is a mindblowing excursion into another music dimension, and sounding brilliant now.... IMAGINE how it must have occurred at the time of release - breathtaking!
Whatever the older generation made of the Stones on their great singles, their lively 'Ready Steady Go' appearances and Mick Jagger's vertical convulsions - this was 'Underground' sounds at the most wonderfully exciting.
Sit lotus on the deep pile rug, light the scented candles and incense, and let these soundwaves ripple across the paisley silken veils of your room. Be carried on a carpet ride piloted by the Satanic Majesties themselves, at the height of their magical musical powers!

This is a renowned rarity that any self-respecting psych music lover has to have in their collection, it stands out as one of the absolute BEST recordings of the time.


CONDITION;
The COVER grades STUNNING MINT. It is in SPECTACULAR condition - solid flat laminated card, practically like buying it on the day of release! The 3D photo is flat, clear and with NO scuff whatsoever. Not even a hint of a bulge from the disc!
The VINYL grades NM/EX it plays WONDERFULLY! Again this has the SUPERB top original shine, looking and sounding fantastic. One thin line visible on Side 1, but this is not audible except for a couple of revolutions between tracks and the intro to track5 side 1 where light 'plips' can be heard before the music properly comes in.
The music is lovely - clear and bright sound that reminds us WHY we love vinyl. The aural quality of this Mono leaps from the grooves so vividly that it demands attention as much as any Stereo album would! Audio buffs know what I mean here.
The light BLUE and Silver DECCA lables are EX, very nice, bright and clean.
