This classic album from 1971, with its iconic zipper and underwear-clad male photo on the cover, is a rare gem. It's difficult to find a copy in good condition, despite its availability for over 15 years after its release. The custom inner sleeve and original cover artwork by Andy Warhol make this a beautiful piece to add to any collection.

As for the music, if you haven't already heard it, it's a true masterpiece. The track list includes Brown Sugar, Sway, Wild Horses, Can't You Hear Me Knocking, You Gotta Move, Bitch, I Got The Blues, Sister Morphine, Dead Flowers, and Moonlight Mile.

A NOTE ON ANDY WARHOL ALBUM COVERS

Andy Warhol's iconic album covers have become a staple of his legacy. Some of his most well-known covers include the 1967 Velvet Underground album featuring a banana and the 1971 cover for The Rolling Stones' album Sticky Fingers, which he co-designed with Craig Braun and featured an image of a man's crotch in jeans with a functioning zipper. The Nations Nightmare was one of Warhol's earliest album covers and dealt with the theme of recreational drug use, a topic often associated with Warhol and his circle in the 1960s due to films like The Chelsea Girls. Warhol was also known for his use of transvestites in his films. In approximately 1952, the same year he won the award for The Nation's Nightmare, Warhol created some of his first drawings of a man in drag while sketching the photographer, Otto Fenn, who had taken photographs of himself dressed as a woman.

 I gave the vinyl a “VG” grade because it has a slight storage warp and it also has just a few very light marks. (No serious or deep marks). And the vinyl is still glossy and shiny.

The record comes in its original, custom, inner sleeve, which is UNIQUE to this album.

This is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

The cover has only very light wear. (EX). There is a hole in the shrink from the zipper. The shrink wrap has preserved the cover very well.
