Here is a rare LP and is an ORIGINAL MONO UK Pressing on the UNBOXED Decca label. THIS LP IS RARE AND VERY HARD TO FIND. BECAUSE OF THE SMALL NUMBER THAT WERE MADE. THIS PRESSING IS KNOWN AS THE 'CENSORED' PRESSING THAT WAS RELEASED WITH A DIFFERENT 'PASTE ON' COVER BACK! AND BECAUSE OF ITS RARITY, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!
THE FIRST ISSUES WERE FIRST RELEASED IN 1965, WITH SOME OFFENDING TEXT ON THE BACK. SOON AFTER COMPLAINTS STARTED TO FLOOD IN TO DECCA. THIS OFFENDING TEXT IS KNOWN AS THE 'BLIND MAN' TEXT

The association of blind people in Great Britain were obviously very upset with this text and demanded it should be removed from the cover. Politicians got involved and so Decca the record label, were forced to change the text. NATURALLY, DECCA STILL HAD A STOCKPILE OF 1ST PRESS COVERS WITH THE OFFENSIVE TEXT ON THE REVERSE, SO RATHER THAN DESTROY THEM THEY DECIDED TO 'COVER' THEM (A LA 'BEATLES 'BUTCHER COVER') WITH A 'PASTE ON' COVER BACK TO 'COVER' THE OFFENDING TEXT.
BY LOOKING AT THE PHOTOS YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE PASTE OVER, NOTE: THE PASTE OVER VERSION IS FOUND ONLY ON NON FLIP COVERS! THIS COVER HAS THE RARE "PRINTED IN ENGLAND" TEXT.
Very few of these paste overs were ever issued before the standard covers without the offending text were released. WHAT MAKES THIS VERSION RARE IS THAT THE LEFT OVER PASTED BACKS WERE USED ON A 1968 RE-RELEASE! THE NEW COVERS WERE WELL IN THE STORES AND DECCA SOMEHOW USED THEIR OLD STOCK ON NEW SLEEVES!!!
This rare pressing with the paste on cover makes this one of the rarest and in demand Rolling Stones LP's ever! I HAVE SEEN VERY FEW OF THESE ESPECIALLY WITH THE COVER IN SO GOOD CONDITION!
The condition of the record and jacket are as follows;
THE VINYL IS CONSERVATIVELY VG+, UNDER BRIGHT LIGHTS IT SHOWS SOME TYPICAL WEAR WITH HAIR LINES AND MINOR THIN SCRATCHES AND MINOR SCUFFING TO THE HEAVY DEEP GROOVE WAX. ON PLAYING THE SOUND IS SPECTACULAR! THERE IS VERY LITTLE SURFACE NOISE AND THAT IS MAINLY BETWEEN TRACKS AND AT NEEDLE DROP. THE DYNAMICS ARE EXCELLENT! THE MONO MIX ON THE UK MASTERING AND PRESSING IS WAY BETTER THAN ANY STEREO AND ESPECIALLY ANY US RELEASE! KEITH'S GUITAR IS VERY PROMINENT AND THE BAND ROCKS LIKE CRAZY! THIS IS A LOVELY RECORD!
THERE ARE NO JUMPS OR SKIPS BUT JUST VERY ENJOYABLE SOUNDS! PLEASE PLAY LOUD!!
THE FAMOUS JACKET IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. FRONT LAMINATED AND THE DAVID BAILEY PHOTOGRAPHED FRONT LOOKS GREAT. NO SPLITS, NO TEARS, NO DAMAGE. NO WRITING OR LABELS! THERE IS SOME LAMINATE WEAR TO THE OPENING SIDE BUT NOTHING TO UPSET ANY BUYER. THE SPINE IS PERFECT WITH THE LOVELY PINCHED TOP AND BOTTOM! THE PASTE ON BACK IS SUPER CLEAN, NO YELLOWING, WITH A LITTLE FOLD WHERE IT WAS PASTED BADLY!!! VERY LIGHT CORNER BUMPS AND NO DAMAGE.
THIS IS HONESTLY, A RARE RECORD AND DEFINITELY ONE OF THE STONES BEST IF NOT THE BEST R'N'B RECORDS THEY EVER MADE!!

FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY.
Most records have production marks where someone touched or moved the vinyl while it was still semi-soft. These marks look like smudges, but are not scratches or "paper scuffs" and do not usually sound. Untouched vinyl from newly-opened records have these marks.

How I Grade Condition Of Discs
Mint
This means I have owned it from new or purchased from a distributors warehouse, basically it means absolutely new shape, never been played or out of its dust cover. In the case of LP's, a North American album will have to be factory sealed (anyone can reseal an album!) Take Note: European and Japaneses albums were never shrink wrapped!
Note: Being mint does not guarantee it's free of pops and clicks, many pressings especially from the US were made with very poor vinyl and in a hurry which means often there are imperfections in the pressing. As a former importer, we were often given back brand new albums due to clicks heard in the playback.
Mint Minus - No such thing, it's either mint or not.
Excellent - A disc is super clean, with no visible marks
Excellent Plus, means it's probably mint but can't be proven by me.
Excellent minus, is a disc that is excellent except it may have some markings that do not show up in the playing
VG - A disc that is STILL in good shape, WILL have some scuffs or scratches, not in excellent shape but well worth owning. VG + and ++,a disc that is that much better than VG.
VG minus, just a smidgen below VG
