ROLLING STONES: "Metamorphosis" LP, FIRST UK PRESSING WITH SIXTEEN TRACKS, RELEASED 28th JUNE,1975.
Rare' Upon its initial release, Metamorphosis was released with 16 songs in the UK, while the American edition had only 14—omitting tracks "Some Things Just Stick in Your Mind" and "We're Wastin' Time".

Metamorphosis is the third compilation album of The Rolling Stones music released by former manager Allen Klein's ABKCO Records (who usurped control of the band's Decca/London material in 1970) after the band's departure from Decca and Klein. Released in 1975, Metamorphosis centres on outtakes and alternate versions of well-known songs recorded from 1964 to 1970.


1.The original inner sleeve, code dated to the very month and year "Metamorphosis" was released in Britain.  

2. The unbelievable low number of the first pressings "Metamorphosis" sold,  a brief UK chart entry peaked at only No.45 in the LP, blink and it was gone, seven days later a new Rolling Stones album with 16 previously unheard 60's tracks, left the charts never to return.   

This is that very first pressing, but there can only be one first pressing and the record looks like brand new and also sound like a just pressed 43 year, it has not been played for over 35 years. Mint "Metamorphosis", stunning, some storage marks, see photographs.

The inner sleeve has the actual date it was made printed on the back bottom rim, '5-75', MAY 1975, only four / five weeks before "Metamorphosis" was released.
