ROLLING STONES -JIVING SISTER FANNY- TRIDENT ACETATE
On offer here is a UK acetate of the Rolling Stones, "Jiving Sister Fanny". This 7 inch, one sided ,45 rpm , acetate has Trident label with
handwritten titles , and cut by Trident Studios London. I don't know if this acetate version is different from the commercially released UK
single version ,but I have compared with the version which was released on the 'Metamorphosis' lp in 1975 ( I have a German 12 lp's box set
called'The Rolling Stones Story' which includes this Lp), and this acetate version is very different from the lp track(different mix, end, vocal
and is shorter with 12 seconds) .
This disc (which has got typical smell of acetate) is not in perfect condition ,however ,it is a rare item..Visually graded VG(+) , plays well with
usual background crackle throughout.As with most acetates of this age, it has got a lot of surface marks. . There is a 'clik' at the end of the song
that takes for few seconds only.There are no serious scratches, no skips or jumps.
This acetate (similar to my other acetates on ebay) came >from a collection that was a part of inheritance. I managed to buy this collection a few years ago. As I know the original owner worked for EMI,Germany.I have no further information of its origin.
