EXTREMELY RARE WITHDRAWN ORIGINAL PRESSING WITH ALTERNATIVE MIXES OF 'BROWN SUGAR' AND 'WILD HORSES'
COMPLETE WITH THE (ALSO EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND) "211 reasons why" TRI-FOLD INSERT
GREAT COPY - SEEN LITTLE USE - PLAYS LIKE-NEW
Rare first pressing dated 11-18-71 with alternate versions of "Brown Sugar" and "Wild Horses". Withdrawn (but not before some batches had been exported to the UK) and repressed within weeks, 2nd pressings have the date 12-06-71 and the normal single versions of the songs. These alternate versions first appeared in the 1970 documentary Gimme Shelter
On the runout of the record is hand etched "XZAL (11015, 11016, 11017, 11018)" and the name "Shelley" is not always present on all four sides. The pressing date "11-18-71" is typically found only on Sides Two and Side Four (sometimes just on Side Four). The name "Shelley" reappeared for a short time afterwards with either a later date or no date at all. Sometimes "Shelley" is misspelled as 'shelly'.
In order to identify this rare pressing, the requirements are that vinyl must have etched the date "11-18-71" and the word "Shelley" on SIDE FOUR runout.
A limited number of copies contain the folded-insert "211 reasons why".

Clean, unmarked labels - barely any spindle trace to be seen - clearly barely played
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT+
All four surfaces shine like-new but in common with North American pressings there are some thumbnail marks and blemishes - all of which are superficial and have no audible impact
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Plays beautifully throughout - sounds great and the two alternative versions play perfectly
SLEEVE: VERY GOOD
The heavy card gatefold has rub to the surfaces/edges and small splits to the opening bottom edges - nothing major - all spine text is clear and bold - good and solid
INSERT: NEAR MINT
Apart from one tiny top edge crease the insert is practically untouched
INNER SLEEVES: NEAR MINT
Both inners are clean and unmarked - no seam splits to either
