Description
Unreleased 1970 UK Emidisc acetate of Olympic Studios supersession blues album that appeared in 1971 on the Chess label as The London Howlin’ Wolf Sessions. Musicians included Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts and ‘sixth Stone’ Ian Stewart, Eric Clapton and Stevie Winwood. This acetate album is substantially different to the officially released LP, with much longer (e.g. a five-minute version of ‘Wang Dang Doodle’, a 5:40 version of ‘Red Rooster’) or alternative versions/mixes, and others that didn’t appear at all on the released version (‘Cause Of It All’, ‘Killing Floor’).
Lovely item for blues collectors in general as well as Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Stevie Winwood fans, and the acetate (which comes in a brown Transco paper sleeve) is in superb mintish condition.
