THE ROLLING STONES - AROUND AND AROUND. Rare first pressing from germany. "Around and Around" was never released in england, just in france and germany. It consist only of songs that only were released on single or ep (like the "Kinks in germany"-record). In germany there were three different versions of the winered decca label. The first one had a gold filled oval with red decca letters on top, the second one had a red filled oval with golden decca letters and the third one a red filled box with golden decca letters. This record is the very first issue. It also has the fragile very thin paper cover.
Condition of record: very good+. This record is as close to top as one could wish this one could get (as the copies that are offered are mostly trashed)! There are only the slightest surface scuffs marks, but no scratches. It plays nearly perfect all the time, only "Bye Bye Johnny" has a slight sound deterioration in the high pitch vocals, but there are no crackles, clicks, skips or repeats throughout the whole record. Ok, it still is not mint-, but very very close to mint-. Great sounding record!
Condition of cover: very good. First of all, the cover is in great condition for a fragile thin paper cover, as most cover are totally beaten-up. Generally the cover has very little wear, even the spine is readable for the most part. It has some very light wear around the edges, a clean (white!) backside, a few very light creases and only very very light ringwear (but not that whitish kind, you just can see that a record was inside the cover). Sadly it has been recoloured on a few small spots (but with a colour matching the background so it needs a very close inspection to see) and on two bigger spots on the backside with white paint above both order numbers. But - though sounding bad - even this has been done very professionally, so it too is hard to see if you don't know it. But: try finding a better one: the cover is still in great condition!
Condition of labels: very good+. Only a few light spindle marks, except for that it's in great condition. No writing, no other damages.
Strict grading: mint/mint-/very good+/very good/very good-/good+/good/good-/worn/poor. (NO excellent, no mint-- or very good++ or anything like that!!) A record that is graded mint/mint looks new and play without any (!) deterioration in sound. A record graded good/good is still enjoyable and has no serious defects. Records that are manipulated on ("buffed" records) are graded as worn in the best case!

Just to answer your question:
The recolouring to the cover was only done to some small areas on the upper edge and a small spot where the upper edge and the opening edge meet, but there is no recolouring to the front side. On the back side there is just the two areas above the ordering numbers that I already mentioned. The area above the left ordering number is ca 3cm x 1cm, the area above the right oredering number is about 1cm x 1cm. The cover still is in very very nice condition, definitely one of the best I've ever seen.
