Description
Killer photo cover for this original 1964 South Africa ( or Rhodesia ) n. 2 album of the Rolling Stones.
This unknow record was pressed in south Africa ( some collectors said Rhodesia ) in 1964 and used a killer photo cover never seen , unique, not appear in any book of the Stones I know.
No notes from the country of origin probably for politic reasons against “aparthaid” in that country in that years.
The record used a catalogue number as Decca UK LK 4661, the N.2, but many songs are different from the original UK album.
“Grown up Wrong”, “Under the boardwalk”and “suzie Q” are missing, replaced with “Little red rooster”,”Not fade away” and “I wanna be your man”.
Many thanks to Hans Pokora and his books, that helped me (many years ago ) to discover this extremely rare and strange RS record.
The cover is near good conditions ,but the record is very used, with many marks , scratchs and a sign on label side two.(see photos )
Matrixs :ARL 6619 //ARL 6620
In my collector’s life I’ve seen only three copies of this record, one with blue label, extremely rare with a killer cover!
For collectors only , of course.
