RICKIE LEE JONES - TRAFFIC FROM PARADISE RARE IMP LP NM

This item is a very rare Holland-import vinyl LP pressing of the album entitled Traffic From Paradise by Rickie Lee Jones.  It was released in 1993 on Geffen Records.  In the waning days of the 70’s, Jones burst onto the scene as the essence of cool and hipness, with a kind of boozy, jazzy sound which was totally foreign to the musical style of the time.  Of course, she became a sensation, garnering an appearance on Saturday Night Live and the cover of Rolling Stone.  Her self-titled first album and her second, Pirates, are truly classics and highly-recommended.  In the early 80’s, between Pirates and The Magazine if I remember correctly, she released a 10” vinyl mini-LP entitled Girl At Her Volcano, which to this day remains a favorite of mine and features a number of live cuts and otherwise unavailable tracks, including her reading of the classic Walk Away Renee.  This album – which to my knowledge has never been released on vinyl in the US – features guest appearances by David Hidalgo (Los Lobos), Brian Setzer (Stray Cats) and Jim Keltner, amongst others.  It comes with a custom inner sleeve.

Both the vinyl and the cover are in solid near-mint condition, as shown in the photo.

I do not use stock photos.  The photo shows the actual item up for auction.

I am not a dealer, and all of the items I place up for auction are from my personal collection gathered over the past forty years.  I am selling my collection little by little to pay for college expenses for my two kids, in my spare time.

The shipping costs are as follows: $4.00 for one LP via media mail to anywhere in the U.S.   Each additional LP is an additional $0.40 for media mail shipping.  Priority shipping within the U.S. is a function of weight and postal zone, and I will e-mail an invoice indicating the cost of priority (I can also provide this info while the auction is pending, if you e-mail me your zip code and the number of LPs).

Insurance through the USPS is available, and once again my invoice will provide the cost information.

NOTE:  Sealed items are collectible because they are sealed.  Since I do not own a store, I cannot return items to the manufacturer.  Once opened, I cannot refund the purchase price in full because opening significantly affects its value.

NOTE: Media mail does not have tracking.  The USPS offers delivery confirmation with online tracking.  If you want online tracking with delivery confirmation,  ability, you must purchase delivery confirmation for $0.75.

International Buyers – Please Note:

·         Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

·         Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

·         These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.

·         We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

I will always combine items, so that shipping costs will be more manageable.  Payment may be made by paypal.  If I do not receive payment for an item within fifteen (15) days of the end of the auction and I do not hear from you in response to e-mails, I will consider the auction results void and relist the item(s) for auction.

Should you have any questions at all about postage, the payment method or for details about any item in particular, please do not hesitate to contact me.
