RICK SPRINGFIELD SUPERMAN PICTURE SLEEVE - RARE

Hello fellow Rick Springfield Fans.  I’m a fan as well, but I most sell off my Rick Springfield

collection.  My son needs speech therapy and I can’t think of any other way of raising the funds

to pay for it.  I’m  starting off with my Rick button collection.  Then the 45's and Extended play

songs, etc.  I have tons of items to sell.  I am including a picture of the picture sleevecollection so

that you can see all that I have to offer.  Please check out my other auctions. If I have not listed an

item yet, please feel free to e-mail me and I will try to get it started.

I also have a ton of Rick Springfield albums and cassettes that I hope to put up on Ebay soon.

I have lots of the early stuff, including an original Chelsea “Wait for Night” Album (including 3 45's)

I have a ton of 45’s with the picture sleeves.  I also have a picture disks.  Somewhere I also have

the words to the unreleased Springfield album.  It is neat to read through the songs and to

imagine Rick singing them.  I have gotten to hear two of them “Child Within” and “American Girls”.

I hope to include copies of the lyrics with all winning auctions, but I do need to find it first.Please

e-mail me if you are looking for something and I will try to get that up for auction as soon as

possible.

Currently I am hoping to raise enough funds by selling off everything except for the CD’s and the

movies.  I still listen to his music as much as I can.  In the car I have Shock/ Denial/ Anger/

Acceptance.  When ever I get a new CD, I listen to it for months and months. S/D/A/A was

actually released on my son’s fifth birthday!  Of course, when my son is in the car, he wants to

hear the Wiggles, so I can’t listen to it all the time.

Anyway, on to the auction.  I have a picture sleeve for "I'm your superman".  "Why are you waiting"

is on the back side.  The 45 itself says "made in Denmark".  It is in excellent condition.  I no longer

have a record player, but I do believe I may have played this once when I got it.

1970’s 45’s  - All have dust covers.  those with picture sleeves are noted.  I’ll do my best to describe the condition

What would the children think – white label promo – same song on both sides. condition is excellent.  no scratches at all.

streakin’ across the u.s.a. – white label promo – same song on both sides. condition is excellent.  no scratches at all. (Cute song by the way)

American girls (not the american girl) from the unreleased springfield lp – columbia red label – weep no more on the other side condition is excellent.  no scratches at all.

American girls – white label promo – same song on both sides. one side is labeled mono the other stereo.  the stereo side has a red highlight over the word stereo.  no other marks on the labels. condition is excellent.  no scratches at all.

Speak to the sky w/picture sleeve – black & white w/ orange letters capitol red and orange label – why? on the other side condition is excellent.  no scratches at all.

1980’s – here are the 45’s that I have not listed yet

All the early 80’s but the condition is not as good for my early 45’s.  I did play these (mostly the first singles, then I just started buying the albums, so there are a few minor scratches.  nothing that ever affected the play though.

briefly they are Jessie’s girl, I’ve done everything for you (two copies) – one is in great condition since I bought it later and hardly every played it.  not my favorite song, but I loved the picture! I bought it for the picture! I get excited, what kind of fool am I (just a dust jacket), I also have the promo version which has a pale yellow label, same song both sides.

affair of the heart – loved the picture! – does show some wear on this pictue sleeve. Souls – live concert version on one side, human touch – just a dust jacket, promo version also.

Love somebody – us and uk versions both with picture sleeve, bop ‘til you drop (rick playing the red guitar)

State of the heart – alternate picture sleeve, rick looking to one side wearing all black, red and black background

fan club record 33 1/3 - Includes the song Desperate Lives

Here is a list of the 12” promos and extended plays that I have not listed yet - no picture sleeves, just the plain cardboard sleeves.  Some do have special stickers.  Condition is excellent, most only played a few times by me.

wait for night – original chelsea label – lyrics to all songs on the inside paper cover

wait for night rca reissue – this did come with a great rick poster, but it didn’t survive.  it was on my wall in my bedroom until I brought my fiance home.

working class dog – original has paper sleeve inside with a picture of rick on the front lyrics to love is alright and an adorable picture of ron wearing headphones on the back.  I bought this much later

working class dog – reissue – plain paper sleeve – my very first album.  I waited until I had heard all three singles from wcd and don’t talk before I bought it, that is why it was a reissue.

working class dog – japanese version – plastic sleeve inside orange label on the album.  A few marks on the back cover.

I never waited after that – all other albums are most likely first printings, but I would have to check on them to be sure.  They do have numbers on them.

success hasn’t spoiled me yet – second album I ever bought – paper sleeve on the inside with pink and purple sneaker- lyrics to april 24, 1981 on the back

living in oz – inside paper sleeve has that great picture of rick on the front with the 5 o’clock shadow and the white shirt.  the back has the lyrics to all the songs and ron with a little unicorn horn on – very cute

hard to hold – inside paper sleeve has scenes from the movie. the back is a bright yellow color with the lyrics to all the songs.

tao – inside paper sleeve says famous dog productions – ron is wearing a leather jacket and has an electric guitar. the back is a pale green color and has the lyrics to all the songs

Rock of life – inside paper sleeve has a black and white picture with rick near the bottom. looks like he is a jean work shirt. black and white on the back with the lyrics to the songs.
