RICH HOPKINS & LUMINARIOS – The Gift. San Jacinto Rrecords DRAM 2068. FACTORY SEALED NEW VINYL RECORD ALBUM. Issued in 2024. Comes in a gatefold cover. Southwest country desert rock.

DESCRIPTION: With Rich Hopkins and his wife Lisa Novak moving back and forth between their homes in Tucson, Arizona and Austin, Texas, the new album was recorded in more diverse locations and with more diverse musicians than ever before. We count many musicians in the album credits, including long-time companions such as Mike Therieau, Goerge Duron, Jon Sanchez, Falcon Valdez, Duane Hollis, Ernie Mendoza and Lars Goransson, who also produced the album together with Rich and Lisa. Additional singing guests included Lisa's daughter Hannah Novak as well as Carey Bowman and Brad Brooks. And the music? Nobody would have expected that Rich Hopkins would suddenly take different musical paths, and that's not what happened. He puts everything into the songs again, as his many loyal fans know him. Sometimes you get the impression that the concentrated energy flows into his guitar work one last time and that he could have found a conclusion with the new album The Gift. But knowing Rich Hopkins, he will soon announce that he is working on a new album (he already did!). Check out some of his recordings online if your unfamiliar with his work.

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers with inside packing.

TERMS AND ABBREVIATIONS:
SS or SLD: Still Sealed or Sealed (or some variation of sealed depending on how many characters I have left in the title line). This item is new and unplayed. Also appears in the listing description as Sealed LP or Factory Sealed LP.
NEW LP: This item is new and unplayed, but was received from a supplier without being shrink wrapped or cellophane wrapped; more common on imports but also many of the smaller independent US labels do not seal their LPs. These items are placed inside of a clear poly outer sleeve upon their receipt by me
GFC: Gate fold cover.
LTD EDT: Limited, as in limited edition. If I know the press run number it will be included in the above description.
#'D: Numbered edition. I will include the number of this item if it is visible to me.

MIX: This sometimes appears in my title line and refers to a group's/artist's music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazz then followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album's tracks having predominantly one style.

US customers whose purchase includes CD(s) along with LP(s) will be shipped in a single package via media mail. Purchases of 3 or more CDs or a box-set will ship via media mail.
INTERNATIONAL customers whose purchase includes CD(s) along with LP(s) will be shipped in a single package at the current rate by weight and measurement.
A shipping discount only applies if all items purchased ship in a single package.
