Very rare 2 x LP BBC Transcription Discs from 1988; "Revolutions in Sound", a four-part radio special presented by Robin Ray, celebrating the centenary of the gramophone, which is told thru music, interviews and the spoken word. Features big hitters such as Beethoven, Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Elton John, ABBA, and Dire Straits. Approx. 2 hours long. Comes with the ever important cue sheets.
The BBC Transcription Discs were made by the BBC and manufactured in small quantities, to be sent out to radio stations around the world for broadcasting purposes only, these records were never released directly to the public. Hence their scarcity.
