REPULSION - HORRIFIED - 1989 DEATH THRASH METAL LP: This is your chance to bid on this classic album by the Thrash Metal legends Repulsion. Repulsion, previously known as Tempted, Ultra Violence & Genocide, were formed in 1984. By 1986 Repulsion's trademark style had matured; characterised by raspy shouted vocals, extremely distorted down-tuned guitars, overdriven punk riffs, absurd rambling solos interjected as if only as an afterthought, rumbling bass lines, and machine-gun drumming. Repulsion was experimenting with a hammering, static clouded, lo-fi sound that was on a level of extreme that had been touched on by few bands before. Finally in 1989 Repulsion's material enjoyed modest, albeit posthumous, exposure when UK grindcore pioneers Carcass distributed this compilation Horrified on their own Necrosis Records label (a subsidiary of Earache Records). Horrified is the only full-length album released by Repulsion. Although the album was originally recorded in 1986, it remained unreleased until three years later. There are a couple of light su rface marks but nothing that detracts from ones listening pleasure. SLEEVE: The sleeve is in excellent condition. There is minor corner wear & a small area on the top edge (approx 2cm) where the print has worn, but this is hardly noticeable. INNER SLEEVE: The inner lyric sleeve is in excellent condition.
