R.E.M. Radio Free Europe - Hib-tone first pressing without the address on label

 

Hib-tone - HT – 0001 U.S. 1981

 

This now legendary single is probably the most popular R.E.M. collectible. Estimates run from 5.000 – 10.000 copies, though first pressings of this single, which lack the record company’s address on the record label but use the same picture sleeve as second pressings, number less than 1.000 copies.

 

The majority of the first pressings were sent out for promotion in the U.S. with an additional fifty copies being send to Europe. The remainder were sold in retail record stores in the Atlanta en Athens area.

 

So buy this great first pressing single from R.E.M.. In great condition, perfect sleeve en single. This is a must have for any R.E.M. Collector!
