Description

Extremely rare Ernest Ranglin LP for sale. Probably the greatest reggae and jazz guitarist to emerge fom Jamaica .Recorded 1960-61 in Jamaica with Cluit Johnson on bass and Lowell Morris / Clarence Bean on drums & Cecil Lloyd on piano. Issued on white Island label ILP 915. Record is in beautiful condition (Ex+). Sleeve is firm & intact: fine on front, but with surface tear on back (see pics). This album has never been reissued & has for years been on wants lists of serious collectors. An authentic piece of reggae & jazz history. As Ronnie Scott says on the sleevenotes : "Ernest is the best thing that has happened to the guitar for a long long time...he compares with the best musicians in the world on that instrument"
