This Classic Elvis Number has now achieved a UK No 1 hit on 2 occasions
And here are 2 records on offer for each generation
First time around in November 1960, the 78-rpm had been phased out in UK and was only available on 45rpm. However in a small handful of other nations the 78-rpm survived a little longer. This is a rare South African Copy numbered 71.333 in Very Good condition+. A few surface marks and light scratches are evident but it plays great! Original RCA cover in excellent Condition. Also comes in protective Cardboard sleeve.
The 10 inch 45 rpm which was a limited edition numbered 7785 has been unplayed. The release of 50000 copies ensured another UK No 1 position for this evergreen hit ,in February 2005.
Surely a great collectable pair for any Elvis or Music fan.
As for an investment, 78s are becoming highly sought after. With the re-release of Elvis records and the re-introduction of 3 speed record players (which are regularly advertised in newspapers and magazines), prices are rising. For example, the penultimate UK Elvis 78 rpm ,Stuck on You has escalated in value by 250% within 2 years and now is valued at $1800+. The final 78 release, Mess of Blues is worth a huge fortune! Coincidentally this song was released on the B-side of this record in South Africa. The winner of this auction can boast this one too!
There cannot be many copies of this record around. Some people even doubted its existence, so don’t lose out on this one!
