Description
On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Red Dirt called "Red Dirt" and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Fontana label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS EASILY THE ALL TIME RAREST LP ON THE FONTANA LABEL (AND ONE OF THE RAREST UK PROG LPs EVER MADE!) AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! BACK IN 1970 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS (ONLY 200-300 COPIES ONLY!), AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND TODAY!!!! AND ALTHOUGH THIS LP ISNT IN MINT CONDITION (THOUGH IT STILL PLAYS VERY WELL - AND IS VERY PRESENTABLE!) - THIS IS ONE LP WHERE YOU SIMPLY CANNOT WAIT FOR A BETTER COPY, AS ONLY 200-300 COPIES WERE EVER MADE - AND THEY ALMOST NEVER TURN UP FOR SALE!!!! NOT ONLY THAT - BUT WITH MINT COPIES NOW SELLING FOR OVER £2000, THIS IS A SUPERB CHANCE FOR SOMEONE TO OWN THIS AMAZING PROG RARITY - AT A CHEAPER PRICE THAN THE HUGE FORTUNE REQUIRED TO OWN A MINT COPY!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS FONTANA LABEL, 1ST PRESS 1/1 MATRIX ENDINGS, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS FULLY LAMINATED COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Fontana UK 1st Pressing from 1970 and is SERIOUSLY rare in EVERY respect!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is STL 5540 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Fontana label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!
The record labels are in BRILLIANT condition (see pictures) with NO wear (apart from a slight touch around the centre holes), NO writing, and some slight spindle marking!!!! The vinyl at first glance looks SUPERB and is VERY bright & shiny indeed!!!! And most people (wrongly) would simply give this record a VG grading. However to grade a record properly, you cannot use normal bright room conditions, and must look directly under a VERY bright light!!!! And only under light can you see - a few light hairlines, 2 or 3 TINY surface marks, only 3 or 4 MEGA light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! There is also 3 or 4 small hairline type marks - which do cause a few clicks (though even these are VERY small and dont last long AT ALL!)!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! The playing of the record is EVEN BETTER than the visual grading - with NO skips, only a few light clicks/pops (though mostly NONE!), NO jumps, NO sticks, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some VERY slight background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!! And the actual sound quality itself is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! In short this LP at first glance looks BRILLIANT - but under light there are a few marks. The vinyl visually is still VERY presentable indeed, and the record plays VERY well indeed in the sound quality department (NO distortion AT ALL!), with only a few clicks/pops on occassion, which dont last long and most of this record is completely click & pop FREE!!!! I listened to it END TO END and it certainly still gives a very VERY enjoyable listen indeed!!!! And of course, it is very VERY important to note the HUGE RARITY of this LP!!!! Barely ANY ever turn up for sale now - and with only 200-300 copies ever being made in the first place, and Mint copies selling for HUGE amounts (£2000+!), this is a very VERY rare chance indeed, for someone to own this LP at a cheaper price than a Mint copy would command!!!! The record must MEGA STRICTLY grade Good(Minus) to avoid ANY disappointment - and although this grading is usually reserved for records that sound & look terrible & jump & stick, this one does NOT (it is VERY presentable indeed, and plays WELL!) - and there are NO sticks, and NO jumps AT ALL!!!! I have simply decided to be VERY strict indeed, so I avoid ANY disappointment!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!! The 1st Press FULLY Laminated Cover is in GREAT condition - with NO major defects AT ALL!!!! It has NO sticker marks, NO edge wear (apart from 2 or 3 almost INVISIBLE 'touching in' traces!), NO rips, NO tears, NO splits (I have checked inside the cover and there are definitely NO splits here AT ALL!), NO spinal wear (apart from a few TINY creases!), only slight corner wear, only a few light creases (cover is still flat looking!), shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!! Even the laminated back of the cover is in GREAT condition with NO grubbyness, barely ANY yellowing, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good(Minus) (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - and is still a VERY decent cover indeed, with NO major defects AT ALL!!!! THIS REALLY IS AN INCREDIBLE CHANCE FOR SOMEONE TO OWN A 1ST PRESSING OF THIS AMAZING PROG RARITY - AS A CHEAPER PRICE THAT THE HUGE FORTUNE REQUIRED TO OWN A MINT COPY (MINT COPIES ARE NOW SELLING FOR WELL OVER £2000 NOW!)!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!

Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items (I always try my very best to describe everything exactly!) - PLEASE REMEMBER to contact with me FIRST, if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one! I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem! This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem. Thanks again - Graham @ XXXRecords.
PLEASE NOTE - Private feedback bidders must consult me first prior to bidding - due to previous problems regarding non-payment, and non-receipt. MY POSTAGE UNDERCHARGE GUARANTEE TO ALL BUYERS (I always undercharge on postage!):- Due to UK Royal Mail's obscene price increases this year - I have had no choice but to increase postage charges a little. Until this year - I had kept them exactly the same since I joined ebay back in 2002. However this years price increases have been so obscene, that I have had no choice but to increase my postage charges for the first time ever. However PLEASE NOTE - my absolute 100% guarantee to you as a buyer - is that I will ALWAYS undercharge postage on everything I send out. Even after the increases, I am still charging you the buyer LESS than I am being charged myself. On each package I send out - the price is clearly stated on the front of the package (please check it when you recieve it!). I also do NOT charge for packaging costs - ONLY for postal costs! And should you find that I have overcharged you postage in ANY way - I will refund DOUBLE the difference. THAT IS MY 100% POSTAL GUARANTEE FOR EACH AND EVERY BUYER! No buyer EVER deserves to be overcharged on postage - and on my listings, I'll make sure they are ALWAYS undercharged. Any questions - please ask! On 11-May-14 at 01:02:53 BST, seller added the following information: Please make sure everyone reads the description properly. The rarity is HUGE - and I have been extremely clear on condition. Expect the grade given - and all will be fine! Hope for VG+ or EX? You'll be disappointed. And as I have been extremely clear on all aspects of this LP (including sounding marks, etc!) - I will definitely not accept partial refunds! Returns of course are fine. Thats said the chances of ever finding another copy again - are virtually ZERO. And with copies making HUGE amounts in top condition - this is a very VERY rare chance indeed to buy this LP at a cheaper price than the HUGE fortune required to own a MINT copy! A bright & shiny presentable example that plays VERY well indeed (apart from the few clicks/pops) and VERY nice sound quality (NO distortion, etc!). And a cover that is very VERY presentable indeed - with NO major defects (and a few touching in traces). I have been very VERY clear indeed on this LP in all respects. However this is one LP that is geniunely 10/10 in rarity! So think very VERY carefully indeed before passing on it!!!!
