Extremely rare ; one of 50 vinyl acetates of John Lennon & Yoko Ono’s iconic single ‘Happy Xmas (War is Over)’.
This one-sided 12” acetate was hand-cut on the lathe at the legendary Abbey Road Studios by mastering engineer Alex Wharton and was kindly made available to Yoko Ono and Sean Ono Lennon.
The record was released on December 5th 2021 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original recording in 1971.
This specially produced item comes with an accompanying two page printed insert. Please note that the header sheet from Sean Lennon is missing, hence the lower price. This is number 26 of 50.
I won this acetate via a raffle at The Vinyl Whistle record shop in Headingley, Leeds UK.
