THIS RADIO STATION AUTOMATION SYSTEM IS AN RDS (REGISTER DATA SYSTEMS) PHANTOM.

This automation computer was manufactured in 1994. It has a 486 Processor and runs 2 removable drives. This system is in great running condition. It's running right now. It would be a good system to just run an FM or AM radio station. It was taken out of service in 2002. I was told to take it home so I did so. This system is loaded with Southern Gospel and Classic Country Music. You can run whatever you desire in it. This automation system runs on DOS. It runs DOS version 6.21. The Phantom software that's running says released 12/03/1999.

Along with this system is the RDS Switcher. The switcher has I believe 8 inputs to it. The switcher show the lights are operational, but not sure if the switcher is fully operational. The computer itself has input and outputs, they are definitely working. You can record audio into it and play it over the air. I only have two amber connectors to hook to the RDS switcher components to it. You can order more. This system runs great with satellite systems. You can run it in Live Assist or let it run 24 hours a day which ever you wish. This system has been sitting aroung the house for sometime.

I was going to purchase a station to run this system on back in June this year. The owner changed their mind so I'm going to go ahead and move this system. This system would be good for someone that wants to cut cost and run your station partly automated.

This system is fully functional.

When you start this system up it goes through boot up and asks for a password. You continually press enter and it will boot up without a password. You can have RDS to guide you through disabling the password so it the electric goes off and comes back on. It will automatically reboot and resume programming. This is a nice smooth operating machine for any radio station.

On The Phantom computer system you can store more than 8 hours of music on the hard drives supplied in it. It has storage for music, psa's and commercials. This machine also does time announce on it. This system runs great with satellite systems. It has relay cards if you look at the photos. From the current satellite recievers. JONES-ABC-TRN-PREMIER-OR ANY OTHER. The white cards on the left when your looking at the back has where from your satellite reciever wiring to the white screw in slots where you can place your wiring for spot cues, liner insertions, tone insertion, ID, Clock Sync and Programing scheduling. It can be programmed with in a 10 minute window to activate a commercial break. You can store any length liner or promo in it. This system when your playing music from the harddrive overlaps songs. It has an overlap setting that can be done in the editing mode or right after you record your item. You can set up as many music clocks as you wish. Voice Rotations. You can schedule voices of different jocks and other announcers. You can schedule 6 commercial announcements per break. With this system you can record long programs and splice them with the editing features into the different segments that you need. When it comes to music scheduling you can use RCS and many others. You can prerecord network news. This system is made with a timer program. You can record whatever network news or programing you wish for playback later. The clock on the phantom sync's by satellite tone. This way the Phantom is accurate within a few seconds every hour. With this system you load your commercial traffic by 3 and 1/2 floppy disk or it can be interface with other traffic systems. You can run this system in Live Assist. Which means you can do a live show and when your ready to play music just press a button on the keyboard. Right now there is about 5 hours worth of storage left on it. There are about 150 maybe less Southern Gospel songs on it. Less that a hundred and fifty Classic Country and Rock songs on it. For more details on this computer visit this web site.
