186. Here it is - the only RCA Program Transcription produced as a Picture Disc - or visa versa, if you prefer. This unique record is the only example of a combination of two of the scarce formats RCA offered during the early 1930s - the Picture Disc and the Program Transcription. I've listed it in the 78 rpm catagory, but the record actually plays at 33 rpm. Costing $3 each when new, there were very few of these ever sold and no additional numbers were ever added to the series. This example has a lam crack on the Whiteman side. It plays on my turntable, but has a definite click. The "Music In the Air" side is in good condition with the exception of a small lam crack about 1/2" long and almost silent. Upon close inspection, you will find some surface marks and scuffs, but the pictures are still very bright and colorful. Overall, the disc looks good and is a very impressive display item. Considering the lam crack, I'll grade it a 5 on a scale of 10. Have you ever seen one of these offered for sale before? Don't miss out!
