the story behind this record:

jan weisenfeldt (the founder of the poets of rhythm) found a whole box of that 45 ion a new orleans record shop in the early 1990's - much posibly  all the copies ever pressed of this beauty - but could only afford to buy 5 copies off that box being a teenager  with a  limited budget.  he gave  it away to his brother max, the poet's singer bo baral, theo thoennessen of into somehtin' and myself.

when he returned a year later to new orleans to that shop he asked for more copies and the owner of the recordshop said thei're gone because he threw a lot of that boxes filled with multiple copies away to save space (ouch!!!)


so it is highly possible that all existing copies of salt are the 5 munich copies (theos went to the uk maybe 10 years ago & the rest are definately not for sale) and a very few others that left that box in new orleans in the early 90's.

so if you ever want to hold an og copy in your hands this might be the only opportunity ever.




this is the only item i have on auction with a reserve price. this item showed up on ebay  one time ever gbp 1220.00 = $ 2475.00 and i'm sure it won't again in future times.

sorry but i have urgent bills in the pipeline.
this is the only reason i'm stupid enough to sell one of the all-time rarest,  wonderful, break - laden hyper-sought-after record you'll find only a once in a lifetime.
otherwise i'd never, ever would like to get rid of that beauty.
