Description
A VERY FAMOUS SINGER AND TV STAR IN SPAIN, BUT UNKNOWN IN THE UK, RAPHAEL REPRESENTED SPAIN IN BOTH THE 1966 AND 1967 EUROVISION SONG CONTESTS AND THOUGH HE DIDN'T WIN ON EITHER OCCASION HE CAME A SEVENTH AND SIXTH RESPECTIVELY. HIS EXPOSURE ON THE EUROVISION MUST HAVE LED PYE RECORDS TO HOPE THERE WOULD BE A DEMAND FOR HIS MUSIC IN BRITAIN AND ISSUED THIS ALBUM IN 1967 ON IT'S HISP VOX LABEL. UNFORTUNATELY IT SOLD VERY FEW COPIES AND IS CONSEQUENTLY VERY HARD TO FIND, AND WHILST RAPHAEL CONTINUES TO BE A BIG STAR IN SPAIN AND LATIN AMERICA HE REMAINS RELATIVELY UNKNOWN IN THE UK.

RECORD CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Hardly played and nice clean labels as can be seen in photos 3 and 4.
SLEEVE CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Difficult it is to find black glossy sleeves in top condition as they tend to show even the slightest marks. This shows four or five tiny thumb creases where the disc has been taken out for playing and these only notice when held at a certain angle. It retains it's deep gloss, has four good corners and the back is bright and white with no fading or writing.
INNER SLEEVES: Sold with it's original top condition inner sleeve which in this case is Pye's plain white opaque lined variety.
