SUPER RARE STEREO “MEET THE BEATLES” WITH NO BMI OR ASCAP ON LABEL!
You’re bidding on one of the rarest, regular issue Beatle albums put out by Capitol. According to Perry Cox’s new “Price Guide for the Beatles American Records,” it is believed that only about 2,000 of these first run stereo albums without any BMI or ASCAP credits were produced. That’s a lot less than some more famous Beatle albums. (Can you say Butcher?) Near Mint Value of this rare record is $1,500!!! Here are the particulars on this record:
RECORD: (VG) – Play tested. No skips. Has mild surface wear--some markings and light scratches. There is some mild surface noise, but its minimal at best. Record still has a good amount of luster and the heavy vinyl disc really sounds terrific. (SEE IMAGES.)
LABELS: (VG+) Both labels look great, especially without any of those pesky Publishing Credits. (SEE IMAGES.)
COVER: (VG) #3 Scranton with BROWN LETTERING and no George Martin credit on the back. The cover looks really good with just a little bit of ring wear starting to show on the front and back. There is also the two staple holes in the upper left corner were a price sticker was attached back in the day. The bottom edge is a bit rough and has a 1/2 inch split at the opening. (SEE IMAGES.) All things considered, its still a pretty good cover.
SPINE: The spine is a bit crinkled and has a couple of good dings at both ends. But it still looks pretty decent. (SEE IMAGES.)
SLEEVE: Comes with a Light Blue Capitol sleeve in very good condition. (I know it should have a dark blue sleeve, but I’m plum out of them.) The sleeve does have a small split at the bottom center which is quite common.
NOTE: I'm no expert on grading, so I'll just let you check out the images and decide for yourself. If you have any questions, please contact me BEFORE you bid. Please be aware that some imperfections that are visible in the images may not be listed in the descriptions. So please check them carefully.
SHIPPING NOTE: All records will be securely shipped in sturdy cardboard mailers. The records will be removed from their covers and original inner sleeves and placed in acid-free paper or poly sleeves. The cover will be put in a loose-fitting polyethylene sleeve. The cost of these items is included in the Shipping & Handling charge.
