RARE SONNY ROLLINS BLUE NOTE 1542 LEXINGTON
Original with 767 Lexington Ave, NYC on both labels; 47 West 63rd St. address on bottom of the back cover. Deep groove, mono. The record has “BN-LP-1542-B” and “RVG” inscribed in the dead wax. Rollins is accompanied by Donald Byrd, trumpet; Wynton Kelly, piano; Gene Ramey, bass; Max Roach, drums. 5 tracks. Very rare edition. Tour de force for Sonny with outstanding performances by all. Cover: Good condition although it has splits on the top and bottom edges both are held together in the centre, spine has some wear from storage. small orange sticker on the front showing original price. Light staining on the front, back cover has light storage mark seen on about 20% of the back cover. Record: Mint(-). Visually shows no wear, probably played 2 or 3 times only. Fine copy. Heavy vinyl pressing.
Comes from an extensive 40 year old, vinyl collection of very rare records from 60s/70sand 80s
