Description
Offered is this very rare 45 RPM record by Mac Curtis. King records white label DJ special 4949 from 1957 Tracks are: GRANDADDY'S ROCKIN' and HALF HEARTED LOVE. The label is quite unsual where as it gives a short bio that continues from one side to the other. on one side it reads in part with" music with an up beat is on the upswing and King is proud to introduce its newest entry to the rock groove, Mac Curtis, a young Texan who is sure to earn top honors when it comes to writing and singing music in the current style". The other label reads in entirety " Mac Curtis was born in Fort Worth, Texas, January 16. 1939 which at 17 makes him one of the youngest recording artists on the market today. Mac always wanted to become a recording artist. The only training he had was a basic music course in elementary school in Fort Worth. Mac is quite an athlete excelling in basketball but a letterman in football and baseball also".Record is VG+/VG+. Both sides have high gloss vinyl with just few very minor surface marks Labels show just very minor wear typical of older white labels. The play is great with just a bit of very faint noise at non music portions of cut in and fade out. No skips, repeats or popping. I try my best to grade records accurately according to Goldmine standards. I know how important condition is to collectors. I want every buyer to be happy with their purchase. If you feel I have not accurately described your record don't get mad, get a refund. My guarantee to all USA buyers is that if you are not happy with your record purchase I will refund the purchase price, shipping and return shipping. All I ask is that record be postmarked returned to me within five days of date of delivery and in the same condition as it was sent. For overseas buyers I can only guarantee purchase price and shipping, I will not pay for returns from overseas. In either case record must be returned before refund is sent. We are all human and prone to the occasional mistake, I would rather lose money that leave a customer thinking they got a raw deal. I'll ship overseas but buyers should inquire about shipping cost as I will only ship overseas by insured priority mail. It has been a long time since I have sold records and I have amassed quite a few of which I will be listing slowly over the next couple of weeks. Check my listing as I'm always happy to combine shipments to save on shipping cost. Paypal or ask.
