RARE NBC TRANSCRIPTION RECORD - DISNEY CHARACTER PROFESSOR LUDWIG VON DRAKE SINGING "THE SPECTRUM SONG"
This is an unusual 10-inch acetate record of "The Spectrum Song" by voice actor Paul Frees singing as Professor Ludwig Von Drake, a Disney cartoon character. This came in a stack of NBC transcriptions I purchased many years ago and sounds like the same version of the song that was included in a Disney "Wonderful World of Color" TV show from 1961. It may be a dub of the "Spectrum Song" from that TV show. The sound quality is very good and the surface of the record is shiny.
I was a school kid when this acetate transcription likely was made at the network, so I have no way of knowing its history. Running time is about 3 minutes or so and is the only track on Side 1 of the record. There is a recording of a kid's voice on side 2 that lasts a few seconds. Definitely an unusual Ludwig Von Drake/Disney collectible.
