Description
Hi, this is a US EP (another one that plays 33 but I list as a 45 'cause it's a 7" and you know the rest blah blah blah) by Jim Whiting, "SO Much For Little Boys Dreams", released on Black & White records in 1983. The record, pressed on clear vinyl, appears to be NEAR MINT. The cover is VG++. Insurance available (US only) based on final selling price. I found another listing for this from another dealer, so I am going to "borrow" his description for you. Thanks, whoever you are! This is what he had to say about this record: Okay, here we have something that it seems is virtually unknown. It's a 7" from 1983, from a New Yorker named Jim Whiting. It was self-released on Black and White Records, and is a nifty clear vinyl. But who cares about that, the music is what really matters. The first track, It's Not the Same, is a midtempo garagey post punk song. The second track, Nothing Lost, is a great raw powerpop track worthy of being comped. The third track, The Best Part, is a more spacey and slightly psychedelic garage-wave track. The best song, however, is the final track, which early-80s electronic music collectors will go crazy over!. He ditches all instruments and uses only an 808 drum machine and a synthesizer for an absolutely awesome dark minimal electro track. Check out my other items!
