Rare Breed: [Self-Titled]
No label / self-released, 1989
Private band-pressed Jersey hard rock.
Not for sale at gigs, and never an attempt at distribution.
Internet speaks a tale of the band making 250 of these 5-track EPs, and handing them out to friends and family … but no one else.
Obviously this tale, true or not, has made the record a valued commodity.
That, and the fact that a female takes lead vocals — a rarity in the ’80s rock scene.
This thing rarely shows up for sale, and when it does, it sells surprisingly HIGH.
Cover: VG-
in opened shrinkwrap, but the vinyl has caused a spherical shape to emboss the cover cardboard, and there is a bit of ripple effect going on along the seam (I've included several pics)
Playback: NEAR MINT
Besides a few seconds of static at the beginnings of each side, this plays like brand new from start to finish. I rarely use near mint, but this sounds better than some of the new records I buy for myself!
Vinyl is shiny and bright and clean ... but WARPED
I was worried the playback would be ruined by the warp but, as I mentioned above, playback is virtually perfect. THE WARP HAS NO IMPACT ON THE AUDIO ... guaranteed.

If you’re in the States, you can buy as many records as you want and I will only charge $4 for shipping.
You want 1 record or 20 records, it will only cost you $4.
But I use media mail, the budget method. Using the service, I’ve had items lost, stolen and destroyed.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Canada:
$13 for one record, plus $3 for each additional record
All other countries:
$18 for one record, plus $4 for each additional record
Shipment cost depends on weight, and record weights vary. A 2LP double album counts as TWO records.

GRADING
Usually, VG++ is as high as you’ll see me go.
Near Mint is rare, usually play-test verified, and MINT is reserved for sealed items.
My scale: VG- / VG / VG+ / VG++ / NM / MINT
PAYMENT
I request payment within 5 days. After 8 days, an Unpaid Item Claim is automatically filed, potentially suspending your account if you are a repeat offender.
