This stunning item commemorates the greatest and biggest Rock event ever....the 1985 Live Aid Concert. Live Aid has been described as the greatest show on earth and one of the defining moments in modern music. A gargantuan humanitarian effort organized by Bob Geldof to help the starving in Africa, Live Aid concerts took place on 13th July 1985. The event brought together many of the biggest stars in Rock & Pop, including U2, Queen, Madonna, David Bowie, Dire Straits, Beach Boys, The Who, Simple Mids, Sada and Wham!....and many more.
If you are old enough you will remember it...whether you were at Wembley Stadium or watching it on TV....what a concert!!!!
The music marathon lasted over 16 hours with concerts held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium, London (72,000 people) and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. The events were broadcast across the world and raised over £40M for charity.
