RAMASES: Space Hymns. Vertigo UK orig swirl label with orig inner bag. 6360 046. 1971

Here's one that doesn't turn up very often these days. Ramases (with his wife Selket) made some great records during the late 60s and early 70s. This was his first album for the great Vertigo label, and is an intriguing mix of psych, prog and spacey folk. Strangely, his backing band for this album are all the guys who'd soon form 10cc (plus a sitar player!). This record comes in the amazing Roger Dean fold-out poster sleeve, which is still intact, though a bit worn. There's an inked-in mark on the front top left where someone's torn a sticker off (see photo). Also a previous owner has used a rubber name stamper on the sleeve and labels. Fortunately, this doesn't show up much. You can just see it on the photos. Other than that the sleeve's pretty good, there are a few split seams, but as this has so many edges, it's hardly unexpected. I'd grade the sleeve just VG. The vinyl has some light marks, but nothing serious, and I'd grade that VG as well. It also still retains the original Vertigo inner sleeve. All in all, a very rare item in decent shape.
