RAINBOW ~ ON STAGE SPECIAL EDITED VERSIONS WITH CONVERSATIONS FROM AUSTRALIA Special Radio Promotion LP
Original 1977 German pressing released on the Polydor label 2808 010.
Description :
Very rare and hard to find radio promo that has become increasingly collectable over the last few years.
This is a rare German promotional copy of Rainbow's "On Stage" album that was sent to radio stations back in 1977. The LP features several interviews with Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio and Cozy Powell conducted in a hotel in Perth during the first leg of their Australian tour 1976/77 in between edited versions of :
- Man on The Silver Mountain
- 16th Century Greensleeves
- Startstruck
- Mistreated
- Kill The King
- Catch The Rainbow
- Still I'm Sad
Also includes a four page press release sheet and a black & white photo.
Condition ~ Vinyl :
The vinyl is in super clean NEAR MINT condition with virtually no signs of use. Simpy stunning!!!
Condition ~ Sleeves :
Comes in a special red plastic wallet style outer sleeve which is in great shape with just a couple of tiny splits at the top and bottom of the opening. The actual LP sleeve which slots inside is in superb NEAR MINT condition.
Condition ~ Inner Sleeve :
Comes with a red inner sleeve which is in perfect shape and has five great colour photos on each side.
Condition ~ Labels :
Both labels are pristine. There are only the faintest signs of the LP ever having been played!!!
