Visual grading

As you would expect from unplayed records there is no spindle wear and they both retain a stunning mirror-like glossy sheen and of course there are no scratches.  There are only 2/3 mega faint hairlines on each side which has been caused by sleeve removal.  You can't blame the previous owner for wanting to look at them!  A handful of very minor 'specks' also but this is common with this LP and was caused during manufacture.  The second vinyl struggled to fit on the spindle and is another indication that it has never seen a turntable before!  Superb vinyls in visually (and audibly!) stunning condition.

Play grading

The sound quality on all four sides is of a fantastic standard which is not surprising for vinyls only played once before.  'We Will Rock You' on S1 has some light static on the intro, this is common, but only lasts a few seconds and then plays 'as new' as do the other tracks on the side.  The opening track on S2, 'Hammer To Fall' has about 3/4 seconds of static on the intro and this is also the case with 'Now I'm Here'.  Aside from that the this plays with Mint quality and the power and depth is astounding.  Whilst all the tracks play incredibly well I am particularly impressed by 'Stone Cold Crazy'.  What a stunning version!  Both S3 and S4 play with immaculate audio throughout and you can tell this vinyl has never been played.  There is just a minimal touch of mega light static on the 'It's Late' intro but it is totally non-intrusive.  I am pleased to say the relatively quiet 'No-One But You' has no 'background' at all and again grades as Mint the clarity is superb.

In summary this is without doubt a final upgrade archive pressing.  The audio plays to an incredibly high standard and aside from a minor amount of light static on a couple of intros this is Mint from beginning to end.  There are no loud clicks or pops and the depth and power of the audio is stunning.  There is no distortion on the top end, another indication of unplayed vinyls.  Together with a Mint gatefold and Mint picture inners this would add to any collection. 

The Gatefold

There are only positives to say about this stunning glossy gatefold!  It is in Mint condition and has obviously hardly ever been handled in its 21 years.  It is a beautifully preserved example.  The edges, wide spine and corners are all in immaculate order and there is no marking to be seen anywhere.  Wow!  As can be seen it still retains the sticker on the front cover.

Picture sleeves

The glossy sleeves are also 'as new' with no wear at all.  They are quite simply 'as new' with no splits, creasing or marking.

The Labels

In superb condition only the S1 label has one mega tiny 'nick' on the edge.  There is no spindle wear.  Fantastic super clean examples.
