Queen : Queen Rocks 2LP 'Standard' Phoenix Sleeve

This limited edition double album from 1997 plays to a superb standard with no interference.  Pressed on super heavyweight vinyl the records were only ever played the once by the previous owner and this you can tell from the stunning quality of the audio!  The clarity, depth and power of the audio could not be any better.

The glossy gatefold is as close to perfect as is possible with no obvious wear and the inner sleeves are in also pristine condition.

Rarely found in such great condition this would impress any Queen collector.

Having played every track I can confidently say the audio on this double album is quite possibly the finest I have ever listened to.  The clarity and depth is sensational and there are no clicks, pops, static or crackle.  Across all four sides I heard only a couple of insignificant static ticks and every track plays loud and true with no intrusion.  As per the other Queen Rocks I am selling (super rare Phoenix sleeve!) the quieter sections also play with sublime clarity, there is just no interference.  As per usual 'I Can't Live Without You' has a little inner groove distortion but it is kept to a minimum and still plays superbly.  As I say every track plays with stunning precision - audio does not get better than this!

The vinyls have a lovely glossy sheen and have no obvious marks or scratches.  There are only a small number of faint sleeve removal hairlines caused by the coarse material of the inner sleeves and some very minor 'mottling' but this is very common on this album and has no affect on the stunning quality of the audio.  This is something you find on almost all versions of this double album.  Both records do have a minor 'lift' not a warp as such and it does not affect the overall play at all, again this is common with this heavyweight vinyl.  The run out grooves and labels are in pristine condition and only the S2 label has one barely visible spindle trace.

The Gatefold

The glossy cover is so close to being perfect.  The edges and wide spine are 'as new' and the corners are also in superb shape with only a couple of mega small, hardly visible creases.  The opening edges have no handling wear and the front cover is in beautiful condition with no marking.  As can be seen the original sticker is still firmly attached top left.  The back cover is almost as good with only a little faint 'mottling' that you can only see when you hold the cover at a certain angle in a bright light.  It really is very faint!  The inside of the gatefold is immaculate and the cover is also very strong and robust like it has hardly been handled.  A lovely example of this cover for sure..

The Inner Sleeves

The glossy inners have no side splits or marking and are in perfect Mint condition.

The Labels

They are in superb order with no marking or writing and only one tiny very faint spindle trace on the S2 label.

Play tested on my Pro-Ject Essential III Turntable / B&W 684 Speakers

The records have been professionally cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine
