This auction is for one (1) 100% authentic copy of: Prince - The Legendary "Black Album" Warner Music Official Limited Edition 1994 German Pressing. Catalog: 9362-45793-1 / WE 391, Warner Music MFG Europe, Made in Germany. This record was designated for limited released by Warner Music in November 1994, and then pulled from catalog in early 1995. They were rare back in the day, and of course even rarer now. Don't be fooled by the many fake pressings out there -- there were only ever TWO real, actual releases of this title, the ultra-rare 1987 edition that would cost you at least a grand (!!!), if not double that ($$$), AND this 1994 release that is also rare and commands as much as US$150/- on eBay ( but if you're reading this, then I suppose it's rather likely you know all this already :). This is the genuine article from my personal collection. I acquired it from a fellow collector in 1999. I don't deal in fakes or copies. Absolutely no disappointments with this one!
I'm not a certified grader, so please kindly judge the condition of this item for yourself by carefully inspecting the hi-res photos provided in this listing. To the best of my knowledge, the record itself has never been played, and appears to be in excellent to near mint condition. Any imperfections visible in the photos are simply specks of dust or fluff that settled on the vinyl during the photographing of the item. To my eyes, I can find no wear or tear, no scratches or any other common signs of mishandling. I've only ever held the vinyl on the outer edge or inner spindle hole area, for the purpose of inspecting and photographing the item. Both sides of the record are in similar excellent condition. The album cover and inner sleeve (both entirely black) have seen better days with normal signs of wear and distress, probably due to previous storage/shelving conditions, as would be commensurate with the age of both. I acquired the item in said condition. Since acquisition, item was immediately double-sleeve protected (see last photo), and stored upright with the rest of my personal collection. It will ship to you as I have preserved it, with plastic protective sleeves intact.
