Description

This is a 12" vinyl (New Mix) record by Prince And The Revolution, from 1985. It plays at 45 RPMs. even though it's a twelve inch vinyl record. I've been told this type of record was only used by radio stations. Printed on side one (Raspberry Beret) of the record is the following: "Produced Arranged Composed And Performed By Prince And The Revolution" Controversy Music ASCAP "Paisley Park" 7:25 (New Mix) Original version available on Paisley Park album Around The World In A Day (1-25286) (0-20355) 1 45 RPM Etched in The vinyl of the record is "0-2355-A-SH l, SLM (A TRIANGLE) 9941 l-l 0 B-2I453 - SH I" On side two is "Prince And The Revolution - She's Always In My Hair" 0-20355 2 45 RPM (new Mix) 6:48 Etched in the vinyl is 0-20355-B-SH-l, SLM (A TRIANGLE) 9941 - X l-l o B-2I454 - SH I" I played both side TWICE, and NOWHERE on this record does it get stuck, repeating the same line over and over, or skip. This record plays perfectly! The record cover does have normal shelf wear for it's age. It's 31-years-old! It also has the original plastic sleeve that came on the record. This is a rare "Promotional Use Only", but also says "Specially Priced 2-Cut Maxi-Single 0-20355" Synopsis: "Raspberry Beret" a song by Prince and The Revolution. Was the first US single from their 1985 album, Around the World in a Day. The sound of the song is different from any previous Prince track, incorporating Middle Eastern finger cymbals, stringed instruments, and even a harmonica on this extended version. The song is also more in the pop vein, though the 12-inch single features a funky intro. Although the song was originally recorded in 1982, Prince drastically reworked it with The Revolution to give it more of an international sound. If you purchase this record it will be sent USPS Priority Mail in Large Flat Rate Box, with plenty of bubble wrap to make sure the record is not damaged while being sent to the winner of the auction. (Actual shipping rate will be visible on the package) I hate when sellers jake up the shipping rate, so I will not do this to people that buy from me. I just want to make sure the record is not broken if shipped in a large envelope. Thank you for looking, and please don't hesitate to ask any questions. I reply within 12 hours.
