Description

The classic ska gem from the late Prince Buster, here on a rare original dark blue label Blue Beat copy.

Both sides play really clearly with no noticeable playwear, just the usual fuzz on the run in and out and some expected recording noise from the tape  - remember this is Jamaica 1965 - a definite EX sound-wise.

The top end is nice and sharp, the horns blare clear and loud and there's that lovely flavour of the backstreet technology of the time that makes this such an iconic piece of reggae history.

There are light surface marks but these are not audible scratches.

I play my vinyl on fairly high-end equipment - a JB Systems T2 direct drive deck with an ATN3600L cartridge at around 1.75 grams. I prefer full treble to capture every nuance of the recording but if you prefer yours eased back a bit, it'll sound as close to perfect as makes no difference.

A well looked-after copy and pressed nicely on centre.
